Kuwait
I first came to Kuwait in August 1998 going back and forth to the US. In March 1999 I moved here. Kuwait is not at all like most Americans imagine it. In general, Americans perceive the entire Middle East to be a hotbed of terrorism with a need to duck into doorways as you move cautiously down the dusty road. It just t'aint like that. Most people are pretty friendly and it is certainly much safer here on the streets than in the US.
